We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
At Villa Maria Catholic Primary School Hunters Hill we greatly value a positive and collaborative partnership between home and school. We encourage parents and other adult support and assistance in classrooms and acknowledge that effective volunteer programs assist school-home relationships and enhance children’s learning.
Parents are involved at Villa Maria in many ways, including being a classroom volunteer, helping on excursions, attending after school information sessions and assisting in intervention programs such as MultiLit.
The Villa Maria Parents and Friends (P&F) Association assists in supporting the school by funding programs and resources to assist the educational needs of the children. It meets on a regular basis in the school hall. Highly anticipated annual events that are organised by the P&F and which help to promote a sense of community include a Welcome Evening and a P&F Fundraiser.
